Zoro is a company specializing in electronics, furniture, and power tools. It's one of the 100 best companies to work for in recent years, as it is recognized by Fortune Magazine. It features over 1 million tools and other products at affordable prices.

However, is it possible for such big statements to justify the ratings of products? Are Zoro tools reliable? This blog reveals positive and negative reviews of Zoro tools, coming straight from customers, for you to invest in them wisely.

      What is Zoro?

Zoro Tool, Inc. has emerged as a massive online marketplace after its establishment in 2011. It's a subsidiary of Grainger, recognised by Fortune Magazine as one of the 100 best companies to work for in recent years.

Zoro began its journey as an online store with around 18,000 products. Additionally, numerous customers benefited from electronics,  power tools, and furniture, at a total of 11 million products. Moreover, it bonds with other brands like Kipp, Bosch, Makita, Tekton, and Micro 100. However, Zoro has also received around 260 negative reviews on Trustpilot (a review website).

      Positive Reviews

Here are some of the quoted and explained reviews by Zoro Tools customers.

      1. Fair price with quick delivery

Customers have noted that whenever they needed a product overnight, it was delivered on time as promised by Zoro's customer care service. Additionally, many customers rated it five stars for its affordable prices.

      2. Great Customer Care Service

Zoro has built a great customer care service reputation. If the product is bought and some issue is identified, it provides a full refund to customers even after the return policy date ends.

Below is a summary of reviews by Zoro customers:-

      • Many customers are aware of the negative reviews, but they find the prices quite fair and affordable, and decide to buy. The products ordered in different lots are delivered even in 4 days without delay, which makes the customers satisfied.

      • Even if the customers order the wrong product by mistake, the return process is hassle-free. The customer has to simply talk to Zoro's customer service executive. They will send a bill of lading to return the item to Zoro at their expense. Once they receive the item, a refund is made to the credit card or to any mode of payment used for the original payment by the customers.

      • All the customer service employees are professional, efficient, and polite, which motivates people to make a fearless purchase from Zoro.

      Negative Reviews

Below is a list of complaints from customers of Zoro.

      1. Fake Warranty

Customers are often misled about the warranty. They also stop attending to customers' concerns when the warranty on their products crosses one year. All these negative reviews affect the buying decision of the customers.

      2. Lack of Transparency

Zoro removes products from the order after its purchase without informing the customers, and doesn't take responsibility or provide a clear explanation later. This results in customer frustration and an unsatisfactory customer experience.

Below is a summary of the bad experiences of customers.

      • A few customers ordered 11 items, out of which 10 were damaged goods and one was never delivered. On contacting Zoro for replacements of two larger items on two different occasions, they delivered damaged goods again. In the end, customers asked for a refund, and even after two weeks, they didn't receive any refunds. The claimed refund amount was high, so they refunded partially after several follow-ups.

This shows that the customer service in the initial period was not satisfactory.  However, when the customer later complained about the poor experience, they got a satisfactory email with the credited amount.
